"I'll do it," she told him and not because she didn't want his help. "You and Jeremy need to present a united front of some kind." She looked at Jeremy and added, "Give him back his swords and gun. He's not going to attack anyone here." It wasn't an order - as if he'd take one from her - but it was a request from Bass's... person. "If any of those guys think he doesn't belong here, they might try and take advantage. Of any of us."
